UPDATE: Oyo transport union leader Auxilliary arrested by DSS

Reports indicate that Mukaila Lamidi, also known as Auxiliary, the embattled chairman of the Oyo State Park Management System, has been apprehended by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Tuesday.

According to a high-ranking government official speaking to Leadership, the arrest of Auxilliary was carried out by DSS operatives on Tuesday afternoon.

The specific cause for the arrest remains unknown at this time.

Despite attempts by NewsNow to contact the DSS spokesperson, Peter Afunnanya, there has been no response as he was unreachable.

This recent arrest happens a decade after Auxiliary’s previous arrest under the administration of the late former governor Abiola Ajimobi.

In a notable event, Auxilliary, who was once feared in Ibadan, the capital city of the state, was arrested by the Ajimobi government in the third week of May 2014.

Following his arrest, he was ultimately imprisoned in 2016 and subsequently released towards the end of the administration in 2018.
