Recent news from the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, Emeka Rollas, reveals that veteran actor Zack Orji has successfully undergone two brain surgeries and is currently in good health.
In an interview with Afia TV, Rollas discussed Zack’s condition, mentioning the need for a post-surgery evaluation overseas.
Expressing frustration, Rollas called out those who spread false rumors about Orji’s passing, emphasizing the damaging consequences of such misinformation in today’s digital age where online presence often takes precedence over accuracy.
He remarked, “Due to the internet age, individuals may prioritize sensationalism over truth. This was evident when baseless claims about Zack’s passing emerged, prompting my immediate response.
“Zack is not in a critical state as portrayed by these rumors. Given the chance, I would have connected him via phone to dispel such claims.
“He simply requires post-surgery evaluation abroad, for which we are actively raising funds.”
“Having undergone two successful brain surgeries, Zack is in good spirits and actively engaging. Spreading false news of his demise is simply heartless.”
Social media was recently abuzz with reports of Orji’s death, stirring confusion among the public.
Rollas, however, urged everyone to ignore the rumors, affirming that the actor is very much alive.
Orji had been receiving medical care at the Intensive Care Unit of the National Hospital in Abuja since New Year’s Eve.
