Chuba Akpom, the forward for Ajax, is uncertain about where he will be playing in the upcoming season. Akpom made the move to the Eredivisie giants from Middlesbrough last summer but has struggled to secure regular playing time since then.
Rumors have linked the 28-year-old Nigerian-born player with a potential return to England, with Nottingham Forest and Fulham reportedly interested in acquiring his services. When asked about his future, Akpom mentioned to ESPN through Voetbal International, “I don’t know yet what the club wants. I just want to have fun and play football, it doesn’t matter where. We have two more games to play, and then we will see what will happen.”
He added, “I cannot predict the future. The most important thing is that I enjoy it. Whether I start or have to come off the bench, I do what I have to do.” Akpom has contributed 15 goals and two assists in 34 appearances across all competitions for Ajax this season.
