Update: No bid made by Juventus for Raheem Sterling, confirms Romano

Reports by football market expert Fabrizio Romano have clarified that Juventus have not yet put forward any offer to acquire Raheem Sterling from Chelsea this transfer window.

Rumors surrounding the future of the English forward at Chelsea have been circulating, particularly in light of Enzo Maresca’s appointment. The former Leicester City manager is reportedly making significant changes to the squad, with suggestions that Sterling may not be part of his plans.

Despite being sought after in Saudi Arabia, the 29-year-old, who previously played for Liverpool and Manchester City, might not move to Italy as initially rumored. Although Juventus had shown interest in signing him, Romano’s recent column on Caught Offside stated otherwise. Romano emphasized, “Chelsea has not been approached by Juventus regarding Raheem Sterling, and there has been no communication with the player from Italy to date.”

“It appears that Juventus’ main focus at the moment is finalizing a deal with Fiorentina for Nico Gonzalez, prioritizing the acquisition of a new winger,” Romano added.
