Welcoming the ten Southern governors to the state’s presidential lodge in Abeokuta on Monday was Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State.
The governors in attendance included Godwin Obaseki from Edo State, Seyi Makinde from Oyo, Alex Otii from Abia State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu from Lagos State, Ademola Adeleke from Osun, and Umo Eno from Akwa Ibom State.
Also present were Biodun Oyebanji from Ekiti State, Bassey Otu from Cross River, Imo State’s Deputy Governor Chinyere Ekomaru, Delta State’s Deputy Governor Monday Onyeme, and Ondo State’s Deputy Governor Olayide Adelami.
At approximately 1:18 pm, the governors convened in the Marque hall for a closed-door meeting.
According to the announcement banner, there were supposed to be 17 governors in attendance.
