United States Dominates 2024 Olympic Medals Standings with Kenyan Success in Africa

Emerging as victors of the XXXIII edition of the Olympic Games in Paris, the United States clinched the top spot of the medals table with 40 gold medals after a nail-biting last event.

Finishing marginally ahead of China, the U.S. secured their position by claiming 44 silver medals compared to China’s 27.

Algeria, with two gold and one bronze, jointly held the 39th spot on the table.

Other African nations included South Africa tied at 44th with six medals (1 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze) and Ethiopia at 47th with four medals (1 gold, 3 silver).

Egypt and Tunisia jointly held the 52nd position with three medals each – one gold, one silver, and one bronze.
