During the swearing-in of Governor Hope Uzodinma for a second term in Owerri, President Bola Tinubu warmly greeted former President Olusegun Obasanjo, exchanging hugs and handshakes.
Despite a previously strained relationship, Tinubu and Obasanjo appeared to reconcile leading up to the 2023 presidential election, notably with Tinubu’s visit to the former president in Ota, Ogun State.
It’s worth noting that despite Tinubu’s visit, Obasanjo endorsed the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in the last election.
