UK prime minister Boris Johnson ‘given oxygen to help his breathing’ after arriving in hospital UK prime minister Boris Johnson ‘given oxygen to help his breathing’ after arriving in hospital

Reports indicated that Boris Johnson required oxygen after being admitted to the hospital for “routine” coronavirus tests last night.

At the age of 55, the UK Prime Minister was taken to a London hospital after experiencing prolonged coronavirus symptoms following his positive test for the disease 10 days earlier.

The Times disclosed that he received oxygen treatment upon arrival at an NHS hospital in London via car.

His hospitalization was described as a “precautionary step” due to his persisting symptoms, suspected to include a high temperature.

Concerns for his health grew within his circle as Mr. Johnson continued to exhibit symptoms more than a week after testing positive.

His aides observed him “coughing and spluttering” during video conference calls in recent days.

A spokesman for Downing Street stated: “Following his doctor’s advice, the Prime Minister was admitted to the hospital for tests last night.

“This measure was taken as a precaution since the Prime Minister was still experiencing persistent coronavirus symptoms ten days after testing positive.

“The Prime Minister expresses his gratitude to NHS staff for their remarkable dedication and encourages the public to uphold the Government’s guidance to stay at home, support the NHS, and save lives.”

On March 27, the politician disclosed his positive COVID-19 test and had been self-isolating at his Downing Street residence for seven days.
