Ugoccie Shares Insights on Love and Challenges in the Entertainment Industry

In a recent interview, Ugoccie, the singer, expressed that despite the assumption that entertainers lead a luxurious life, many of them struggle to find love.

According to her interview with Saturday Beats, Ugoccie mentioned, “Finding love is a daunting task for entertainers because there are preconceived notions about our lifestyle. People tend to perceive us in a certain way which may not be accurate.”

Discussing her new Extended Play album ‘Voice of The East’, she emphasized that the album is not solely for her fans in the South-East region.

She explained, “The inspiration behind the EP stems from various personal encounters I’ve had, with a desire to convey them through my unique storytelling approach. Each song in the album is titled in Igbo to represent my South-Eastern roots, though the appeal is not limited to just the Igbo audience. Music transcends language barriers, as we often enjoy songs regardless of the language.”

When reflecting on the hurdles she encounters in her career, Ugoccie reframed them as opportunities for growth, mentioning, “I prefer not to label them as challenges because I see them as platforms for innovation. An essential aspect for entertainers is securing finances for upcoming projects.”
