On July 5, Uche announced that he is gay and will continue to embrace his sexuality, while also speaking out against the death penalty imposed on a man in Bauchi for the same reason.
Subsequently, on July 6, he took to Instagram to disclose that he had been arrested due to his previous post but has since been released.
