Sporting Lagos suffered a 1-0 loss against Shooting Stars in Ibadan.
Similarly, Doma United faced relegation following a 1-1 draw with Abia Warriors on their home turf.
Sporting Lagos concluded the season in 17th place on the table, accumulating 46 points from their 38 matches, while Doma United secured the 18th spot with 44 points.
Prior to this, El-Kanemi Warriors and Gombe United had already been relegated to the Nigeria National League, NNL.
On a brighter note, Akwa United and Bayelsa United cemented their positions in the top division with impressive victories on the final day.
Akwa United emerged victorious with a 3-1 win over Rivers United, whereas Bayelsa United triumphed with a 2-0 scoreline against Bendel Insurance.
