Two arrested for robbery in Ogun state

The police authorities in Ogun state have apprehended two individuals, Ayomide Joseph and Olajide Ajisomo, for their involvement in an armed robbery incident. The arrest took place following a robbery at Ikugbonmire junction, where the suspects reportedly held up a man named Adegoke Sodipe and his brother while they were returning from Lagos. The victims were robbed of various personal items, including an Infinix phone valued at N25,000, a UBA ATM card, and a So-safe corps identity card.

After the victims raised an alarm, the Ogun State Police Spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, revealed that the suspects were captured by police operatives. Oyeyemi further explained that upon receiving the report, the Divisional Police Officer for Mowe division, SP Marvis Jayeola, swiftly dispatched detectives to the scene. Subsequently, one of the robbers was apprehended, leading to further investigations and the subsequent arrest of the second suspect. It was also mentioned that a locally-made double barrel shotgun was confiscated from the suspects.

Following these developments, the Commissioner of Police, Kenneth Ebrimson, has ordered that the suspects be transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for a thorough investigation.
