On Sunday, US President Donald J. Trump took to Twitter to extend well-wishes for Palm Sunday amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic in the United States, which has resulted in approximately 8,492 deaths.
Trump, a self-proclaimed Christian, tweeted from the epicenter of the Coronavirus outbreak, his native New York:
“Palm Sunday is the beginning of a Holy week for many people of Faith and a great day to lift our voices in Prayer. I will be tuning into Pastor @greglaurie at @harvestorg Church in Riverside, California tomorrow at 11:00 A.M. Eastern.”
Some of his followers were critical, blaming him for the spread of the virus and labeling him as ‘hypocritical,’ while the Christian community praised him for advocating for Christians in America and staying true to Christian values.
