Reports indicate that the Nigerian Army has effectively thwarted an assault by Boko Haram militants in Kirchinga community, located in the Madagali Local Government Area of Adamawa state.
On the night of Monday, April 6th, the militants entered the community and began shooting indiscriminately. They also set fire to five houses and looted several shops.
The soldiers intervened and prevented further attacks.
