Travis Scott says he was unaware fans were hurt during his concert that killed ten people including 9 year old (video)

Travis Scott recently gave his first interview since the deadly crowd surge at his concert in Texas, where he expressed that he was unaware of the trouble concertgoers were facing during his performance. The incident occurred at the Astroworld music festival in Houston on November 5, resulting in the deaths of ten people and numerous lawsuits being filed.

Among the casualties was nine-year-old Ezra Blount, and lawsuits against Scott have alleged his involvement in the tragic events for not ending his show promptly. Scott stated that he only learned about the details of what had happened after the concert during a press conference. He mentioned that although he had paused his show to ensure everyone was okay, he did not notice any fans pleading for help or any apparent danger.

The tragedy took place while about 50,000 people were attending the festival at Houston’s NRG Park complex, with the victims’ ages ranging from 10 to 27. Scott has offered to cover all funeral expenses, but this offer has been rejected by half of the bereaved families, including Blount’s family.

When asked about how he was coping with the events, Scott expressed that he was still trying to come to terms with the tragedy and the loss of his fans, describing them as his family. He also mentioned his desire to be “the voice” of the victims.

In a recent interview with Breakfast Club presenter Charlamagne Tha God, Scott shared his perspective on the incident, where he stated that he had stopped the show a couple of times and that at the end of the day, he was focused on the music. He expressed shock at the realization of the extent of the tragedy, emphasizing that nothing like this had ever happened before.

A video clip of Scott’s interview can be watched below, where he reflects on the events and expresses his lack of awareness about the situation during the concert.
