Former Chelsea Star Advises Blues Against Signing Osimhen

Emmanuel Petit, a former Chelsea midfielder, has suggested that the club should stick with Nicolas Jackson rather than pursue Victor Osimhen.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with a potential move for Osimhen in order to strengthen their attacking lineup.

Jackson, a Senegalese international in his debut season at Stamford Bridge, has faced criticism for squandering clear scoring opportunities for the London side.

According to Petit, Chelsea should have faith in Jackson instead of acquiring Osimhen or another striker.

Petit’s advice to Chelsea regarding Jackson and Osimhen:

“Chelsea doesn’t require [Victor] Osimhen or [Alexander] Isak. The notorious No.9 jinx at Chelsea is well-known, and we have witnessed Jackson’s abilities in recent months,” Petit shared with Grosvenor Sport.

“Adding someone like Isak would only escalate the pressure on Jackson needlessly. While competition is essential in every position, nurturing a talent like Jackson should take precedence over signing Isak. If I were Chelsea, I’d focus on fostering Jackson’s potential rather than acquiring Isak who is already demonstrating promise.”
