Tragic Pipeline Explosion Claims Three Lives and Leads to Property Damage in Abule Egba (See Photos)

Reports indicate that a devastating pipeline explosion in the Abule Egba area of Lagos state resulted in the loss of three lives, including a young boy. The explosion was caused by the actions of vandals who are believed to have tampered with the pipeline in an attempt to steal fuel.

The young boy, who was among the victims, was reportedly inside a nearby shop sleeping with his parents when the fire broke out. Upon realizing the danger, he attempted to flee to safety but, tragically, did not survive.

 

The bodies of the deceased were transported in a Lagos State Emergency Health Service pick-up van to the morgue.

 

Additionally, at least 10 houses were destroyed by the intense heat and flames of the fire, along with the pipeline.
