One person tragically lost their life in a fire outbreak at the Muda Lawan market in Bauchi State.
The fire, which ignited after a truckload of mattresses caught fire on Thursday, April 16, resulted in the destruction of numerous shops and parked cars near the market.
According to eyewitnesses who spoke to Channels TV, the firefighters were met with aggression from angry youths for their delayed arrival in extinguishing the fire. The blaze was eventually brought under control after the firefighters regrouped with a stronger team.
