Tragic Incident: Two Dead, Five Injured in Ogun Solo Accident

On Saturday morning, a fatal solo accident occurred around the Ogere Remo area of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, resulting in the loss of two lives and injuries to five other car occupants.

The incident involved a Toyota Camry with license plate number BDG526JC and was attributed to excessive speed, causing the vehicle to lose control and flip over.

According to a press release by Florence Okpe, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps, the injured individuals were rushed to Idera Hospital in Sagamu, while the deceased were taken to the hospital’s morgue.

A portion of the statement indicated, “Yet another tragic accident has happened on the Ogere stretch of the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, resulting in the loss of two lives; one adult female and one child female.

“The incident occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m., involving a single vehicle with plate number BDG526JC, a Toyota Camry.

“A total of 7 individuals were in the crash (4 adult females, 1 adult male, 1 child male, and 1 child female) with 5 sustaining injuries (1 adult male, 1 child female, 1 child male, and 2 adult females).

“The primary cause of the accident was determined to be excessive speed, resulting in loss of control and the vehicle overturning.

“The injured victims received medical attention at Idera Hospital in Sagamu, while the deceased were placed at the same medical facility.
