A few days after she was reported missing, the body of 2-year-old Thato Ralisite was found in a grazing field in North West, South Africa.
The discovery was made by a passer-by around 18:00 on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Myra Village, near Pudimoe.
According to North West police spokesperson Colonel Adele Myburgh, Thato was last seen playing in the yard of her aunt’s house at about 17:00 on Saturday, August 19.
The community, family, and police launched a search, utilizing resources such as police K9 and Mounted Units, leading to the heartbreaking discovery.
A post mortem will be conducted to determine the cause of her death.
