Tinubu’s Approval for 1,000 Houses in 7 Northern States – Shettima

In a statement from Mr. Olusola Abiola, Director of Information for the Vice President’s Office, Vice President Kashim Shettima announced President Bola Tinubu’s endorsement of the construction of 1,000 homes in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, Kaduna, Niger, and Benue.

The approval was revealed during the inauguration of projects completed by the Borno State Government in the previous 100 days.

According to Shettima, the housing developments are part of a broader federal government initiative to address conflicts in the North.

Tinubu also granted approval to the National Emergency Management Agency to allocate N50 billion for the Pulaku initiative, a non-kinetic response to the crisis faced by the northwest’s residents.

President Tinubu has approved the construction of 1,000 houses for the Fulani community in Kaduna and Benue states, as well as ancillary facilities like schools, clinics, and veterinary clinics in Sokoto, Kebbi, Katsina, Zamfara, and Kaduna.

He emphasized that “President Tinubu insisted that all the victims must be carried along.

The Vice President expressed confidence that President Tinubu’s development efforts would have a positive impact nationwide.

Shettima also mentioned the federal government’s intention to restart the nation’s wheat harvest.

He assured that President Tinubu is committed to addressing the challenges faced by Nigerians and implementing initiatives to improve their lives.

Acknowledging Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State for his leadership, Shettima commended Zulum’s ability to address the needs of the populace.

He emphasized, “I want to thank him for all the sympathy and encouragement and, most importantly, for putting Borno first.

The Vice President inaugurated the Shuwari ll Community School and Healthcare Centre, one of the 77 new projects completed in Zulum’s first 100 days in office.
