Tinubu’s Appointment of New DSS DG Met With Positive Reaction from DSS


The recent appointment of Adeola Oluwatosin Ajayi as the new Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been warmly received by the agency.

Ajayi’s appointment was approved by President Bola Tinubu on Monday, and DSS expressed confidence in his proactive nature and extensive experience in leading the service.

In a statement released by Peter Afunanya, the DSS Director of PR and Strategic Communications, it was stated that Ajayi, a seasoned Intelligence Officer, joined the service in 1990 as a cadet officer and has undergone various training programs in management, security leadership, critical thinking, and human resources both locally and internationally.

Having served in key command positions in several states, including Rivers, Bayelsa, Bauchi, Enugu, and Kogi, Ajayi is described as diligent, resilient, urbane, proactive, and analytical, bringing a wealth of experience, skills, and goodwill to his new role.

As the DSS bids farewell to the outgoing DGSS, Alhaji Yusuf Magaji Bichi, the agency’s management and staff have pledged their cooperation, support, and loyalty to the new DG, wishing both success in their respective future endeavors.
