Tinubu planning to arrest Peter Obi – Charly Boy claims Tinubu Allegedly Plotting to Detain Peter Obi – Charly Boy Alleges

Renowned musician, Charles Oputa, famously known as Charly Boy, has made a bold assertion that the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu is considering the arrest of Peter Obi, the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), due to his continued critique of the government.

He cautioned that any effort to detain or press charges against Obi would be met with unprecedented resistance in the history of Nigeria.

Charly Boy urged the authorities to exercise caution to avoid igniting chaos through an “unlawful arrest” of Obi.

Expressing his concern on his social media handle, Charly Boy stated: “There are reports of an impending arrest of Peter Obi by Tinubu’s administration because of Obi’s unwavering commitment to holding Tinubu accountable for good governance.”

“Any move to arrest or prosecute Obi will be vehemently opposed like never before in Nigeria’s history, and Obi’s supporters are fully prepared. Tinubu’s government should proceed cautiously to prevent triggering unrest through an illegal detention of His Excellency Peter Obi. We urge Tinubu’s government to abandon its malevolent intentions against Peter Obi as it will have profound consequences for Nigeria.”
