''This disease is not an ordinary one, it demands spiritual solution'' Ogboni cult head offers to perform rituals to cleanse Nigeria of Coronavirus

The leader of the Aborigine Ogboni worldwide, Oba Abdul Olakisan Adetoyese, has emphasized that the Coronavirus pandemic is no ordinary disease and requires a spiritual solution. He made this declaration in a statement released in Osun state on March 21st. Adetoyese expressed his willingness to perform spiritual cleansing for the Federal government to eradicate the virus from Nigeria.

According to him, “The disease is not an ordinary one and it demands spiritual solution to send it packing. Several terrible epidemics in the past had always been tackled through spiritual means even when there was no medical or scientific know-how. I offered to embark on spiritual activities to curb the disease in the country and I will meet with some selected Governors in the South West on ways to avert the spread of the disease. Also, I am ready to appease the gods through rituals in some selected cities within the South West region as a means of solving the epidemic.”

Moreover, Adetoyese urged traditional rulers, as well as Muslim and Christian religious leaders, to engage in spiritual activities to combat the Coronavirus, which is wreaking havoc worldwide.
