The very thing Seni was saying 'I can't breathe' is what happened with George – Nigerian mum whose son died from police brutality speaks after George Floyd's death (video)

The Nigerian mother, Ms. Aji Lewis, has spoken out about the tragic death of her son, Olaseni, due to police brutality in a manner reminiscent of George Floyd’s murder in the US. She stated that watching the video of George Floyd’s arrest and subsequent death is too distressing for her, as it parallels the circumstances surrounding her son’s demise. Olaseni, an IT graduate, was restrained by 11 police officers at a London hospital, leading to his loss of consciousness and eventual death. Despite an inquest concluding that “excessive force” was used, six police officers were cleared of gross misconduct. Ms. Lewis emphasized that similar instances of police brutality have gone unpunished, and she shared her concern that such incidents are not limited to the US but also occur in other countries. She expressed frustration over the lack of accountability for the officers involved in her son’s case and stressed the importance of achieving justice.
