Prior to the approaching Ondo State governorship election, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation is confident in the readiness of the ruling All Progressives Congress in the state for the upcoming poll set for November 16.
Denying any crisis within the All Progressives Congress in Ondo State, the Lucky Aiyedatiwa Campaign Organisation affirms that the party is progressively uniting and growing stronger each day.
During a meeting of party members at Supare Akoko in Akoko South-West Local Government Areas of the state, Victor Olabimtan, the Director-General of Campaign Organisation and also the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board, expressed optimism. He dismissed concerns about party members defecting to the opposition, asserting that such actions will not hinder the party’s success in the upcoming governorship election. He confidently declared that the party’s candidate, the current governor of the state, remains unbeatable.
According to Olabimtan, “There is no crisis within the party, we are steadfast and growing stronger by the day. While some may depart, the influx of new members surpasses the exits. Aiyedatiwa is unmatched. His qualities, experience, education, resources, and determination make him the most suitable candidate for the governorship position.
“Over the past six months, Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole have seen a principled and visionary governor who is committed to meeting the needs of the people.”
Addressing the gathering, Niran Olanusi, a prominent party member, highlighted the purpose of the meeting as strategizing for the imminent campaign kick-off.
He proudly mentioned the lack of competition in the election, attributing it to Aiyedatiwa’s remarkable performance since assuming office.
“Aiyedatiwa’s achievements have garnered immense support from the people, particularly in the Akoko areas, ensuring a strong backing in the upcoming election,” Olanusi confidently stated.
