The Tragic Death of a Newborn Baby Found in a Washing Machine

Following a tragic incident, a Russian woman is now facing charges over the death of her newborn child, who was discovered lifeless inside a washing machine.

An official report from Russian authorities revealed that Nadezhda Zavialova, a 31-year-old popular hairdresser, prematurely gave birth to her fourth child during the night. Her husband, Denis, found her covered in blood the next morning at their residence in the Talitsa, Sverdlovsk region, and called for an ambulance.

According to a police source, the infant had been placed inside the washing machine, prompting the launch of a murder investigation.

The woman, who has one son from a previous marriage and two daughters with her current husband, is currently hospitalized and is facing charges under article 106 of the Russian Criminal Code, which could lead to a potential five-year jail sentence for the murder of her newborn.

Elena Firtseva, a friend of Nadezhda, stated to Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper: ‘Nadezhda is a hardworking and caring mother. There was no reason for her to commit such a cruel act. She told me that the child was born prematurely and was stillborn.’

Another friend, speaking to local newspaper E1, said: ‘I recently saw her pregnant… Maybe the family had some quarrels, but this was not visible. I would never have imagined she could do this.’
