"The Timing is Suspicious" Reno Omokri Comments on Fire at Accountant General’s Office a Day after PDP’s Call for Audit

Reno Omokri has expressed skepticism about the fire incident that destroyed the office of the Accountant General of the Federation.

The office, situated in the Federal Capital Territory of Abuja, was engulfed in flames on Wednesday, April 8th. The fire, said to have been caused by a spark from an air conditioner, affected two crucial departments, including the one responsible for processing consolidated revenue sharing amongst the three tiers of government.

In response to the fire, former presidential aide Reno Omokri posed several questions and labeled the incident as “suspicious.”

He commented, “The fire at the Accountant General’s office occurred just a day after the PDP called for an audit into the so-called subsidy regime that General Buhari’s government claims to have spent over ₦2 trillion on? There is a #Coronavirus lockdown in Abuja, and the Accountant General’s office burnt down? This is an office that did not burn while it was bustling with activities, only to burn when it became deserted? Who is deceiving who? What are the chances? An accident? Very suspect!”
