He made this announcement at the official induction of Nigerian Air Force Helicopters at the Eagle’s Square in Abuja, emphasizing the administration’s focus on professionalism, capacity building, and equipping the armed forces and security agencies.

During the event, President Buhari expressed his gratitude to Nigerians for their support and unity in tackling the menace of insurgency, kidnapping, and other criminalities. He also commended the intervention of the Nigerian Air Force in various international missions and highlighted the significance of acquiring new military equipment.

The President also acknowledged the contributions of the Nigerian Air Force in national security and peace-keeping operations on the African continent. He stated that the procurement of additional aircraft and military equipment demonstrates the administration’s commitment to enhancing the combat efficiency of the Air Force in addressing contemporary security challenges, despite budgetary constraints.
