In a remarkable achievement, the Nigerian-American artist Shaboozey has set a new record in the United States with his chart-topping track ‘A Bar Song (Tipsy).’
The song has now officially claimed the title of the most-streamed track in the US for the year 2024, as reported by the music monitoring platform, Chart Data.
Surpassing hits like Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ and Benson Boone’s ‘Beautiful Things,’ ‘Tipsy’ has emerged as the highest-selling song in America this year.
Additionally, ‘Tipsy’ has held the top spot on the Hot 100 chart for the longest duration in 2024, maintaining its #1 position for 7 consecutive weeks.
This achievement surpasses the previous record set by Post Malone and Morgan Wallen’s ‘I Had Some Help.’
Back in July, Shaboozey made history by joining Beyoncé as one of the only Black artists to simultaneously dominate the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts.
