The renaming of a Subway stop after Kobe Bryant in honor of the NBA legend by New Yorkers

A Subway stop, previously known as “42nd St-Bryant Park,” has been renamed to “Kobe Bryant Park” by subway riders in tribute to the late Los Angeles Lakers legend, Kobe Bryant.

Shortly after news of his tragic death in a helicopter crash was announced, a temporary sign was erected at the Bryant Park subway station.

The sign at the 42nd St-Bryant Park Station had “Kobe” placed over “42nd Street,” transforming it to “Kobe Bryant Park.”
