The reasons behind the incarceration of many artists signed to my label’ by Gucci Mane

Gucci Mane, the American rapper and head of 1017 record label, has disclosed the underlying reasons why a significant number of artists under his label are currently in prison.

During an appearance on his wife’s podcast, ‘All Things Keyshia Ka’Oir,’ Mane shared insights into why his signees often find themselves entangled in legal troubles.

He attributed their situations to underlying issues that usually remain unseen by the public eye.

As a former convict himself, Mane believes he is in a unique position to assist these individuals and provide support during their incarceration.

Responding to a query posed by the host regarding the frequent legal issues faced by artists under his label, Mane stated, “Well, that was similar to my past experiences with incarceration. I strive to support those artists whom I see reflections of myself in. If I don’t lend them a helping hand, who else will? This perspective often goes unnoticed.”

“Each of them holds a compelling narrative. They originate from challenging backgrounds, and I am determined to offer my assistance. I can genuinely empathize with their circumstances and comprehend the challenges they confront,” he explained.

Presently, three artists from 1017, namely Pooh Shiesty, Foogiano, and Young Thug, are serving varying prison sentences.
