The PMB Estate in Abeokuta: A Unique Opportunity

At the President Muhammadu Buhari Estate in Abeokuta, the Ogun State Government is inviting members of the public to subscribe to over 100 units of detached and semi-detached duplexes. Additionally, plots of land are available for sale to individuals looking to build their dream homes within the estate.

During a tour with over 100 Realtors and Estate Agents, Commissioner for Housing, Jagunmolu Akande Omoniyi, highlighted the features of the estate. Beyond its picturesque location on virgin land, the PMB Estate will boast amenities such as a shopping mall, perimeter fence and gatehouse, children’s playground, recreational center, and other world-class facilities.

Omoniyi expressed, “This estate will be exceptional, offering facilities akin to premier estates globally. With top-notch security, a mall, recreational center, and children’s playground, residents will enjoy a quality living experience.

Strategically located near key establishments like the OgunTechHub and the State Judiciary Complex, the PMB Estate is a short drive from the Governor’s Office and just 50 minutes from Lagos State. Title documents will be promptly provided to subscribers upon full payment, emphasized Omoniyi.

Referring to the success of the Ibara Regeneration Scheme, Omoniyi underscored the government’s commitment to providing more housing options. Initially envisioned as a site-and-service project, the PMB Estate spans over 500 hectares, with the first cluster over 50 hectares currently under development.

Despite its past neglect and incomplete infrastructure, Omoniyi lamented at the estate’s transformation into a valuable asset for the state’s residents and Nigerians in the Diaspora seeking quality living spaces.

With an inclusive housing delivery policy, the administration led by Dapo Abiodun prioritizes housing accessibility for all income brackets. Over the last four years, the government has delivered over 4,000 affordable homes across the state, ensuring that citizens have adequate housing options.

According to Omoniyi, the state offers affordable housing starting from N10 million for low-income earners, N70 million for medium-income earners, and N175 million for high-income earners. This initiative has empowered over 50,000 artisans and transformed villages into vibrant communities.

Highlighting the quality of the buildings, Farooq Adenugba, Senior Special Assistant to the governor on the Ogun State Property and Investment Corporation, described Cluster 1 in the estate as a well-equipped residential area with various amenities.

The fully detached and semi-detached duplexes come with boys’ quarters, sitting on 900 and 500 square meters of land, respectively. Adenugba assured subscribers of the value for their investments, emphasizing the strategic location and secure environment of the housing units.

During a media interaction, property practitioner and builder, Mr. Babatunde Denton, commended the state government for choosing a prime location for the PMB Estate, predicting its future as a prestigious residential community.

Mr. Ojikutu Olusola, the General Secretary of the Real Estate Developers’ Association of Nigeria in Ogun State, praised the government’s commitment to quality construction, ensuring buyers’ confidence in their property investments.
