The PFA Award Shortlist: Cole Palmer Among Top Contenders

A spot on the shortlist for the PFA Young Player of the Year award has been secured by Chelsea’s standout, Cole Palmer, in recognition of his stellar performances for the Blues last season.

Decided by fellow Premier League players from the previous season, this prestigious accolade is highly coveted.

Notably, Palmer’s exceptional form earned him a deserved place on the six-player shortlist.

At just 22 years old, he impressively netted 22 goals in the league and contributed 11 assists.

His goal involvements throughout the season surpassed those of all other Premier League players.

Competing for the award alongside Palmer are talented individuals like Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Brighton’s Joao Pedro, Manchester United’s Kobbie Mainoo, and the duo of Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho and Michael Olise, the latter having recently made a move from Crystal Palace to Bayern Munich.

The award’s winner will be revealed on 20 August during this year’s PFA Awards ceremony in Manchester.
