After the legendary singer Tina Turner passed away at the age of 83 on Tuesday, May 23, the details of her funeral have now been disclosed.
While official plans for the funeral of the Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll are yet to be made public, a family spokesperson confirmed that only the star’s closest friends and family will be present for the private ceremony.
The spokesperson stated, ‘There will be a private funeral ceremony attended by close friends and family.’
This revelation comes after it was confirmed that Turner passed away from natural causes at her home in Switzerland. She had been battling intestinal cancer, high blood pressure for over four decades, and had undergone a kidney transplant.
Representatives of Turner have also confirmed that the singer’s death was due to natural causes.
The news of her passing was announced earlier this week on Tuesday, May 24, with the statement, ‘With her, the world loses a music legend and role model.’ She had previously fought intestinal cancer and dealt with high blood pressure for more than four decades.
