The Federal Government Urges Workers to Register for N40,000 Rice

Plans have been finalized by the Federal Government to provide public servants with a 50kg bag of rice at a cost of N40,000 in an effort to mitigate the food crisis in the nation and its impact on Nigerians.

This information was revealed in a letter from the Federal Ministry of Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs, signed by Jaiyesimi Abimbola, the Director of Human Resources at the Ministry.

According to the letter, interested staff members must fill out a Google form on the OHCSF website and submit it to the Director of Human Resources for approval.

The letter further stated that the payment and distribution of the rice would be managed by specific offices, with the chairman of the Joint Union Council of the ministry acting as an observer to ensure transparency during the process.

In line with the Federal Government’s initiative to address the current food crisis and its impact on the population, public servants in Abuja are offered the opportunity to purchase 50kg bags of rice at a discounted price of N40,000 per bag.

To participate, interested staff members are required to complete a Google form on the OHCSF website, print it, and submit it to the Director of Human Resources for approval.

The coordination of payment and rice distribution will be overseen by designated officials, with the Chairman of the Joint Union Council of the Ministry serving as an observer during the exercise to ensure transparency.

Each staff member is limited to purchasing one bag, and multiple staff members can collectively contribute to purchase a bag for sharing among themselves.
