The Federal Government is working towards the best for the people of Nigeria

Encouraging Nigerians to hold on to patience, resilience, and hope for a brighter future, Kalejaiye Paul, the representative of Ajeromi/Ifelodun Constituency in Lagos at the House of Representatives, emphasized the importance of understanding the potential for a better Nigeria.

Acknowledging the government’s responsiveness to the needs of the people and the implementation of policies that benefit them, Kalejaiye spoke during the Ramadan Lecture/Prayer event in Ajeromi/Ifelodun under the theme “Message of Hope.”

Emphasizing the need for Nigerians, both leaders and citizens, to consistently do what is right, show love, unity, and tolerance not just during religious fasting periods like Ramadan and Lent, but at all times, Kalejaiye stated, “Government is responsively listening to the yearnings of the people, making policy directions that will favor the masses. Nigerians should be aware that 2024 is a year of joy as importation of petroleum products will stop this year.”

In his Ramadan Lecture, the Chief Imam of Ajegunle Central Mosque, Alhaji Shuaib Bamidele, stressed the collective effort and determination needed to make positive change a reality in the country.

Additionally, the special guest, Kamal Bayewu, chairman of Lagos State Local Government Service Commission, urged Nigerians to stay committed and hopeful in President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Protests have emerged in various states due to current hardships, including rising inflation and high cost of living following the removal of fuel subsidy and the floatation of the naira under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.

As economic challenges persist in the country, many Nigerians have been seeking relief from palliative distribution centers set up by government officials and other stakeholders to alleviate the impact of these hardships.
