The emotional response of Prince William to his brother’s decision to step back as a senior royal

Prince William has shared his reaction to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s choice to step back as senior royals.

Reportedly, William expressed deep sadness to a friend regarding his brother Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s controversial decision to step back as “senior” members of the Royal Family.

As per a report in The Sunday Times, William confided in a friend, stating, “I’ve put my arm around my brother all our lives and I can’t do that anymore; we’re separate entities.”

Additionally, the Duke of Cambridge conveyed his melancholy about the entire situation and emphasized the importance of supporting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. He expressed hope for a time when they would all be united in their approach.

“I’m sad about that. All we can do, and all I can do, is try and support them and hope that the time comes when we’re all singing from the same page. I want everyone to play on the same team,” concluded William.

The Queen, who issued a 72-hour ultimatum to aides on Friday to resolve the Sussexes’ future roles, has summoned Princes Charles, William, and Harry to her Norfolk Estate for a meeting today. The meeting aims to address Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s decision to step back from their royal duties. Meghan is expected to join the discussions via a conference call from Canada.
