The Emir of Ilorin expresses grief over the passing of Kwara’s prison controller, Adeyinka Adebayo


In the wake of the Controller of Nigeria Correctional Service, NCS, in Kwara State, Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun’s unfortunate demise, the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council, Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR, has conveyed his sorrow.

Through his spokesperson, Mallam Abdulazeez Arowona, the Emir extended his condolences to the entire management and staff of the NCS in Kwara State.

Sulu-Gambari also expressed his sympathy to the Federal Government, Minister for Interior Olubunmi Ojo, Comptroller General of the NCS Haliru Nababa, and the government and people of Kwara State, emphasizing that the “late Controller Adeyinka Adebayo Oyun passed away while in active service for the nation.”

He stated, “The collective members of the Kwara State Traditional Rulers Council stand in solidarity with the sorrow of NCS Controller Adeyinka Oyun’s passing, offering condolences to his immediate and extended family, as well as the people of Ipee community in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State in light of this irreparable incident.”

“We send our condolences to the late officer’s wife and children. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time. May his soul find eternal peace,” the statement concluded.
