The DSS reveals kidnapped EKSU DVC was murdered by domestic workers

According to the Department of State Security Services, DSS, the abduction of Prof. Olorunfemi Olaofe, former Deputy Vice Chancellor of Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti, was orchestrated by his domestic staff.

The incident took place on July 9, 2024, when Olaofe was taken from his home in a housing estate along Afao Road in Ado-Ekiti.

Confirming the details in Ado Ekiti, the DSS disclosed that a group of seven individuals, invited by the house help, carried out the kidnapping at Olaofe’s residence on Plot 12, 15th Avenue, Federal Housing Phase II, Ado Ekiti.

Further investigations by the authorities led to the discovery of Olaofe’s remains, which were found buried in a shallow grave at a farm settlement along Airport Road, Afao-Ekiti.

The DSS statement noted that the case would be handed over to the state police command for possible prosecution, as a homicide has been established.
