The Dismissal of Police Officers Caught Flogging a Lady in Osun Caught on Camera

Two police officers from the Osun state police command, who were captured on video assaulting a woman in Iwo, a town in the state, have been discharged from the Nigeria Police Force.

Inspector Ikuesan Taiwo with AP NO 251724 and PC Abass Ibrahim with Force No. 509634, the erring police officers, have been dismissed.

The victim, Tola Azeez, had stepped out of her house during the lockdown to purchase medication for a sick person. She was approached by the officers who proceeded to lash her with a cane, only halting their assault when their colleagues intervened.

Upon viewing the video, the Inspector General of Police, Adamu Mohammed, called for a thorough investigation. Following the conclusion of the investigations, the police officers have been dismissed and will soon be prosecuted.
