The Discovery of a Baby Factory Where Men Were Allegedly Contracted to Get Young Ladies Pregnant in Ogun

At the Imedu Olori area of Mowe in Obafemi Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State, the Police have uncovered a baby factory.

A statement from the state police command spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi, revealed that the baby factory was discovered based on information provided by an escapee from the illegal home. The victim reported at the Mowe Police Station, stating that she was lured into the home and held captive for a period of time.

The victim identified Florence Ogbonna as the owner of the home and explained that Ogbonna used to contract able-bodied men to impregnate the inmates. She further added that their babies, upon delivery, were taken away by the woman and never seen again.

Following the complaint, the DPO of Mowe Division, SP Marvis Jayeola, took action and deployed his team to the scene. Twelve ladies, aged between 20 to 25 years, were rescued, with six of them being heavily pregnant.

Those arrested in connection to the crime were Florence Ogbonna (female), Chibuke Akabueze (male), and Chibuzor Okafor (male).

The State Commissioner of Police, CP Kenneth Ebrimson, has directed that the suspects be transferred to the anti-human trafficking and child labor unit of the State criminal investigation and intelligence department for discreet investigation.
