The Denial by Egayomake: No Soldier Invasion in Gbaregolor Community

In Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, the President-General of Gbaregolor Community, Mr. Samson O. Egayomake, refuted the circulating rumor about soldiers attacking the community and setting houses on fire.

Contrary to the speculation, he clarified in a phone conversation with our correspondent in Warri that there was no invasion by soldiers in Gbaregolor.

While emphasizing the community’s reliance on divine protection, Egayomake acknowledged that neighboring riverine communities had indeed experienced military incursions.

He expressed concern that the soldiers had allegedly been harassing residents in the area.

Egayomake highlighted the distance between Gbaregolor and Okuama, where 17 soldiers were ambushed and killed, emphasizing that the two locations are far apart.

He criticized the Federal Government for failing to conduct an investigation into the root cause of the incidents, instead opting to disturb the populace unjustly.
