The death of Taraba Commissioner after a brief illness

The Taraba Commissioner for Rural Electrification, Alexander Markus Senlo, passed away following a short illness.

 

Sadly, Senlo, a former local government council chairman and two-time commissioner, breathed his last in a Yola hospital on Monday April 6.

 

Confirming the news, the State Commissioner for Information, Danjuma Adamu, revealed that Senlo succumbed to his illness after falling ill three days earlier.

 

Meanwhile, Taraba State Governor, Darius Dickson Ishaku, has extended his condolences to the family of the late Commissioner.

 

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Pubilicity, Bala Dan Abu, the deceased late Alexander Markus Senlo was described as “a grassroots politician and a loyal party man. An asset to our great party, the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.”

“As member of the state Executive Council, he made very useful contributions to debates, especially in areas that had to do with the extension of amenities to the rural populace. His death at this time has left a big gap that will be difficult to fill.

”Gov Ishaku has, on behalf of himself, the government and the entire people of Taraba State, expressed deep sympathy to the family of the late Senlo and the entire people of Zing Local Government for this very sad and unfortunate development.

”Gov Ishaku prayed the Almighty God to grant the deceased eternal rest and the family he has left behind the fortitude to bear the loss,” the statement reads.
