The call for immediate reduction of fuel prices by Delta Group to Tinubu

Calling on the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led Federal Government, the Initiative For Social Rights Concerns And Advancement (ISRCA) is urging for the urgent reduction of petrol pump prices.

The group believes that this action would not only alleviate poverty but also significantly lower the costs of goods in the market.

These sentiments were echoed in a statement by ISRCA’s National Coordinator, Comrade Derrick Oritsematosan Agberen.

Accusing the Nigerian Government of instilling fear to discourage peaceful protesters from exercising their constitutional rights to protest peacefully, the group mentioned:

“Recognizing the government’s negative influence through its local and state entities, civil society organizations, and ethnic groups in impeding the people’s efforts and activities, as well as inciting security forces against them, is not beyond us.

Under President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Nigerian Government has yet to provide the reassuring messaging that would douse the flames of protests ongoing in different parts of the country.

Addressing the underlying causes that have exacerbated hardships, economic challenges, uncontrollable inflation, and high living costs cannot be overlooked or downplayed.

The skyrocketing prices of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), currently ranging from N850 to N1000 per liter, are identified by the group as the major driver behind inflation,” the group emphasized.
