The Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, known as BRGIE and under the leadership of Simon Ekpa, has unveiled a new slogan for advancing the Biafra Declaration.
On Tuesday, Ekpa publicly shared this information through his official X handle.
He revealed that the separatist movement’s new rallying cry would be ‘freedom.’
Ekpa indicated that the updated slogan would be put into action starting from Tuesday.
According to him, “The Biafra Government New Slogan! Our Slogan has changed, effective from today 30.7.2024. Freedom”.
These developments are occurring amidst the persistent demands for Biafran Independence by BRGIE and other local activists in Nigeria.
BRGIE has identified marginalization, underdevelopment, insecurity, and poverty in the southeast region as reasons warranting a self-referendum.
