Rafiu Oseni has been announced as the new head coach for Sunshine Queens, a Nigeria Women Football League team, according to a report from NewsNow.
Oseni will be taking over the team from Oladimeji Abimbola, who is transitioning to work with the club’s U-17 team.
Assisting Oseni will be Nike Adekunle and the club’s former captain, Odunayo Adejoro.
The appointment was confirmed by Saka Yusuf-Ogunleye, the Ondo State Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development, on Wednesday.
These appointments are effective immediately to begin the restructuring of football in the state.
Yusuf-Ogunleye emphasized the importance of support and prayers from the people of Ondo State during this period of transition.
