The 200-hour ironing marathon ends at 142 hours for Kogi man

After surpassing 142 hours of continuous ironing, Dauda Abdulfatai decided to unexpectedly terminate his attempt to break Gareth Sander’s Guinness World Record of 100 hours.

Following medical concerns and feedback from his support team, the decision was made to end the marathon.

Commencing the challenge last Wednesday at Off Ajaokuta Road, Ganaja Village, Lokoja, Kogi State, Dauda had received approval via mail from the Guinness World Records.

In addition to exceeding Gareth Sander’s 2015 record for a 100-hour ironing marathon from the UK, Abdulfattah El-Okene also managed to iron an impressive 2,249 garments during this remarkable feat.
