Technical Fault Causes Power Outage in FCT, AEDC Reports

Attributing the current power outage in parts of Abuja to technical faults on several feeders, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) clarified the reason behind the disruption.

Highlighted in a statement released on Monday in Abuja, the affected feeders were identified as L36, H23, H33, and 8.

Residents are being informed that the disruption is linked to technical issues with feeders L36, H23, H33, and 8, impacting specific areas as mentioned below.

Impacted locations include: feeder L36 – Entire Idu industrial area, CITEC Estate, Efab Global, Babaginda Estate, Nizamaye Hospital, and surrounding regions.

For FH 23 – Areas such as the Airport, River Park, Shoprite, NIPCO, Dunamis Church, NIGCOMSAT, and neighboring localities are experiencing the outage.

Additionally, AEDC stated that Feeder FH33 is affecting the Apo Mechanic Village, Waru Village, and their surroundings.

Feeder 8, which covers Jabi, portions of Utako, Life Camp, Kado, Efab, Zango Daura, and Mbora Estates, and nearby areas, is also impacted, as per the company’s notification.

The AEDC reassures that its technical team is dedicatedly working to address the fault and restore power supply promptly, expressing regret for any inconveniences caused.
