Confirmation of the arrest of four men suspected of killing Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, daughter of the Afenifere leader, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has been made by the Inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu. Order from Governor Masari: Land borders with 4 States and Niger Republic to be closed due to Coronavirus

To prevent the potential spread of coronavirus in the state, Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has issued an order for the closure of all land borders with neighboring states and Niger Republic. The closure affects borders with Jigawa, Kano, Kaduna, and Zamfara, as well as with the Republic of Niger to the north. Additionally, a ban on large gatherings in public and religious centers has been implemented. Effective from 6:00 am on Saturday, March 28, the movement of people into the state is strictly prohibited.
